Celebrate a Birthday on KSER!

The next time your spouse, family member, good friend, co-worker or boss has a birthday, you now have a new way to celebrate!

Sugary Chocolate Cake loaded with Empty Calories
Sure, you could do a birthday cake loaded with calories; or an environmentally unfriendly group of helium-filled balloons.  Or you could surprise your someone special with a 'Day Sponsor' salute on KSER.

DJ Uncle Pat wants to wish you a Happy Birthday!

You tell us the day...it can be someones birthday, anniversary, graduation, or similar special occasion.  And five times on their special day KSER's Ed Bremer, Sondra Santos and our DJ's will announce their name and salute their special day.

To become a KSER Day Sponsor, simply listen for details starting this weekend during our Spring for KSER Donation Celebration (that's what the marketing department tells us to call a pledge drive).   Or call us anytime at 425-303-9070 and we can sign you up.

You can become a KSER Day Sponsor by signing up for a recurring $15 per month donation or a one-time donation of $180.   It's tax deductible and in addition to saluting a special person's special day you'll be helping to contribute to independent public radio.

Listen to KSER on your I-Phone

Here's one more thing you can get for free when it comes to KSER.

For those times when you can't be near a radio or a computer to stream KSER online, you can still listen to KSER if you have an I-Phone or many other smart phones.  Just download the Public Radio Player app.

Just open the app store, search for Public Radio Player or PRX and download.  It's free.  You'll then be able to search public radio stations by format or geography.  And then bookmark your favorites.  Of course, we're confident KSER will be at the top of your list.  But the good news is, you can take it with you anywhere, and still never miss your favorite KSER programs

And since you're able to download the app for free, and you're always able to listen to KSER for free...with no commercials...this is a good time to remind you that "Spring for KSER" starts Friday, March 15, 2013.  "Spring for KSER" is our fancy way of saying we're going to be asking for listener support for nine days to welcome in Spring.

Remember, most of our operation is funded by listener donations.  We don't receive grants from the federal or state government. We're a local, totally independent voice.  And we count on you for support.

Of course, you don't have to wait for our "Spring for KSER" event.  You can go to KSER.org and click on the "Donate Now" button right now.  Then, when we're on the air for nine days asking listeners to help out, you'll know that you've already done your part. You've ensured that Amy Goodman will be on KSER every morning with Sondra Santos and that Ed Bremer will be there for Sound Living every afternoon...along with all of the great and diverse music programs every day of the week.

And remember, just like the Public Radio Player app, everything on KSER is free!
