Here's one more thing you can get for free when it comes to KSER.
For those times when you can't be near a radio or a computer to stream KSER online, you can still listen to KSER if you have an I-Phone or many other smart phones. Just download the Public Radio Player app.
Just open the app store, search for Public Radio Player or PRX and download. It's free. You'll then be able to search public radio stations by format or geography. And then bookmark your favorites. Of course, we're confident KSER will be at the top of your list. But the good news is, you can take it with you anywhere, and still never miss your favorite KSER programs
And since you're able to download the app for free, and you're always able to listen to KSER for free...with no commercials...this is a good time to remind you that "Spring for KSER" starts Friday, March 15, 2013. "Spring for KSER" is our fancy way of saying we're going to be asking for listener support for nine days to welcome in Spring.
Remember, most of our operation is funded by listener donations. We don't receive grants from the federal or state government. We're a local, totally independent voice. And we count on you for support.
Of course, you don't have to wait for our "Spring for KSER" event. You can go to
KSER.org and click on the "Donate Now" button right now. Then, when we're on the air for nine days asking listeners to help out, you'll know that you've already done your part. You've ensured that Amy Goodman will be on KSER every morning with Sondra Santos and that Ed Bremer will be there for Sound Living every afternoon...along with all of the great and diverse music programs every day of the week.
And remember, just like the Public Radio Player app, everything on KSER is free!
