KSER - Voice of the Community

KSER's annual Voice of the Community Awards Ceremony is coming up next month. 

Award recipients and finalists will be announced at the KSER Voice of the Community Award Celebration Saturday evening, 7 p.m. Nov. 10, 2012. This year's event will be held at the Weyerhaeuser room, top floor of Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave. in Everett.

Last year, Dr. David Beyer, President of Everett Community College was presented the KSER Voice of the Community Award for Community Impact.

And the KSER award for Cultural Impact was presented to Joe McIalwain, Executive Director, Edmonds Center for the Arts.

There is an impressive list of nominees for three different categories for the 2012 KSER Voice of the Community Award. You can see a complete list of nominees and order tickets for the event here. The KSER Voice of the Community Award was started in 2008 as a way to recognize individuals, organizations and businesses who make a positive contribution in the north Puget Sound by giving voice to important community or cultural concerns.

KSER Pledge Drive Update:  We wrapped up the KSER Fall Pledge Drive Saturday night. If you were one of the many listeners who pledged financial support during our campaign, Thanks!!  If you didn't find the opportunity to contribute, you can still make a tax-deductible donation at any time at the KSER website.

Amy Goodman ticket update:  There are still good seats left for Amy Goodman's upcoming KSER appearance at Everett Community College.
